TV Series 'Lam El Samasya' to Screen in Second Half of Ramadan

Yara Sameh Egyptian actress Amina Khalil's upcoming star-studded TV series 'Lam El Samasya' is set to be screened in the second half of the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon. The cast also stars Mohamed Shahin, Eyad Nassar, Ahmed Rizk, Caroline Azmy, Rakeen Saad, Ahmed El Saadany, Tharaa Goubail, Safaa El-Toukhi, Yasmina El Abd, Aseel Omran, and more. Director Karim El Shenawy will helm the series from a script penned by prominent screenwriter Mariam Naoum. Media Hub production company is the studio behind the drama. "Lam El Samasya" consists of 15 episodes and sheds light on a delicate and difficult topic: Child sexual abuse (CSA), also called child molestation, which is a form of child abuse in which an adult or older adolescent uses a child to fulfill their sickest and darkest needs. It raises several questions, including whether the assault occurs in schools or on the street and if those held responsible for the crime are parents or only teachers. "Lam El Samasya" journey to the small screen was long and dates back several years. Naoum came up with the idea of 'Lam Shamsya' in 2019, while the journey to the small screen began in 2022. The drama faced major creative changes that led to it being postponed more than once. Mona Zaki, Eyad Nassar, Ahmed Rizk, and Sawsan Badr were on deck to star in the show, before the current cast signed.

The original cast also featured Eyad Nassar, Ahmed Rizk, and Sawsan Badr, before the current cast signed. Khalil previously said of the casting: 'This is something that happens in our field. Sometimes I have roles and I drop from the project due to production problems or personal reasons, and the role goes to someone else. I think this is something natural. Certainly, if Mona had played the role, she would have been creative in it like all of her work.' Zaki also offered very high praise for Khalil, saying: 'Amina is a great actress. I bet it will be one of the best Ramadan shows, and it will achieve tremendous success. I am sure that it will be something really great.'
