‘Wine About Winter' raises funds for YMCA's healthy living progams
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU) — Siouxlanders were embracing the cold winter weather – or lack thereof – in the warmest way possible by sampling wine.
Attendees of 'Wine About Winter' on Friday got to enjoy freshly carved prime ribs with a silent auction in support of the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA's healthy living programs. Every sip and every bid will help members on their wellness journey.

The YMCA is getting ready to open a youth development and early learning center in a couple of weeks.
'We're so excited for the youth development and early learning center to open,' associate executive director Lanay Larson said. 'It will be ready in a couple of weeks, and we're excited to get our existing kiddos in and to have that opportunity for the community. For them to provide childcare and for them to have a place to go and for our members to have a place to play with our indoor playground.'
The healthy living program is also getting underway, with a new wellness floor and equipment beginning in March.
KCAU 9 is a proud sponsor of Wine About Winter.
