Man hit by car on major road in city centre
A 61-year-old pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in the early hours of Sunday.
South Wales Police issued notice of a road closure for New Cut Road in Swansea city centre just after 3am following reports a car had struck a pedestrian. The road remained closed for around three hours as paramedics were called to the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital where his injuries were not deemed life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Officers were called to New Cut Road, Swansea at around 3.15am on Sunday, June 8, following a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a 61-year-old man from Landore, has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"A road closure was put in place. The road has since reopened."
