Thousands still without power following severe thunderstorm
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — More than 100,000 people across Michigan are still without power after a severe thunderstorm, which spawned several tornadoes, struck Thursday night.
As of 1:00 p.m. on May 17, the Consumers Energy Outage Map that more than 117,000 customers statewide are affected by power outages.
The Lansing Board of Water and Light (BWL) that more than 6,000 customers are still affected by the power outage.
NWS confirms EF1 tornado in Eaton County
The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF1 tornado touched down in Eaton County and two EF0s hit near Battle Creek during the storm.
