59-year-old man shot to death in Lansing. What police are saying
LANSING — A 59-year-old man was shot to death in the city Sunday afternoon, June 8, Lansing police said.
No arrests have been made in the shooting, but police do not believe it was a random incident, LPD said in a press release Sunday evening.
Police officers were dispatch to the 3300 block of Bardaville Street, off North Grand River Avenue and east of Waverly Road, at about 5:38 p.m. June 8 after a reported "possible shooting." Once at the scene, officers found the victim with gunshot wounds.
Lansing Fire Department medical staff provided treatment at the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital.
The man was pronounced dead at the hospital. No information about the victim was provided in the release.
