Lottery player turns $10 into $2 million prize at Florida Publix. Here's where
A grocery shopper decided to spend $10 on a scratch-off lottery ticket at a Publix in Florida. He won a prize with a lot more zeroes. Lary Pincince won a top prize of $2 million with a ticket in the $2,000,000 100X Cashword game, which he bought at the Publix Super Market at Trailwinds Village in Wildwood, the Florida Lottery announced April 10. He beat the 1-in-3,792,743 odds of winning one of eight jackpot prizes of $2 million, according to Florida Lottery officials. All the top prizes in the game, which debuted in December 2023, have now been claimed, records show. The 65-year-old resident of The Villages, a 55+ community northwest of Orlando, claimed his prize at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee, choosing a one-time payout of $1,280,000, lottery officials said. The Publix in Sumter County received $4,000 for selling the lucky ticket.
