Andreessen Cuts Price of Silicon Valley Mansion to $29.5 Million
Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen's five-bedroom mansion in Atherton, California, was put back on the market for $29.5 million late last month, a nearly $4 million discount from when it was listed a year ago.
The house, which Andreessen and his wife, Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen, bought in 2007 for $16.6 million, sat unsold for nearly eight months before being removed in November. Andreessen, an early investor in Meta Platforms Inc., Lyft Inc., Airbnb Inc. and dozens of other tech companies, has been spending more time in Washington and Florida recently as an ally to President Donald Trump.
