Trump's Unpredictability With Allies and Adversaries

Editor's Note: Washington Week With The Atlantic is a partnership between NewsHour Productions, WETA, and The Atlantic airing every Friday on PBS stations nationwide. Check your local listings, watch full episodes here, or listen to the weekly podcast here. In the less than two months since Donald Trump took office, he has upended decades of foreign policy by targeting the country's allies. Panelists on Washington Week With The Atlantic joined last night to discuss the effects of his policies in the U.S. and across the globe. Especially among House Democrats from districts that the president carried in the election, 'they feel as though he kind of left them out to dry,' Laura Barrón-López said last night. Joining the editor in chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg, to discuss this and more: Laura Barrón-López, a White House correspondent for PBS NewsHour; Stephen Hayes, the editor of The Dispatch; and David Sanger, a White House and national-security correspondent at The New York Times.
