Man critically ill after assault outside Cardiff pub
The 61-year-old victim is critically ill following the attack outside The Church Inn at Old St Mellons, Cardiff at around 1am on Saturday, May 3. South Wales Police are looking for a 28-year-old suspect and are appealing for anybody who may have witnessed the incident to contact them. Detective Sergeant Laura Slocombe, from Rumney CID, said: 'We know there were people in the vicinity of the incident when it happened. 'If they haven't spoken to officers, they are urged to get in touch. 'The suspect involved also knows were a looking for him and he is urged to hand himself in to a police station.' Man critically ill after assault outside village pub Police are looking for a 28-year-old suspect in connection with the serious assault A man is in critical condition after a 'serious assault' outside a Cardiff pub (Image: Matthew Horwood ) A 61-year-old man is in critical condition in hospital after a serious assault outside a village pub in the early hours of Saturday. South Wales Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for information to help them find a 28-year-old suspect. The incident occurred at approximately 1am on Saturday, May 3, outside the Church Inn in Newport Road, Old St Mellons, Cardiff. A cordon was still in place outside the pub on Saturday morning with multiple officers on scene. Medical equipment could also be seen on the ground. They are looking for a 28-year-old suspect in connection with the incident though they have not named the individual or provided a description.
