Grand Junction's Fourth and Fifth Street fate decided, new mayor decided as well
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) – At Wednesday's Grand Junction city council meeting, a couple big decisions were made.
The first one on the night?
Cody Kennedy is Grand Junction's new mayor, and Laurel Cole will serve as his mayor pro-tem.
That was the first thing on the agenda for the night, but more big decisions were set to be made later on in the meeting.
After nearly 2 hours of discussion on the 4th and 5th Street pilot projects, the council made a motion.
By a slim 4 to 3 vote, a motion was passed to revert 4th and 5th Street back to its pre-pilot status, with city staff following traffic guidelines to implement travel lane adjustments.
