Woman in custody after young mother killed in local park
CLEVELAND (WJW) — A 23-year-old woman is now in custody, accused of shooting and killing a young mother at Mill Creek Falls in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to officials, Lavia M. Paul, 23, of Cleveland, was taken into custody Wednesday evening and faces murder charges.
The victim's family tells FOX 8's Stacey Frey they are not familiar with the name of the suspect.

Cleveland Metroparks police are expected to share more information during a press conference at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Kiara Jackson.
The Cleveland Metroparks Police Department said Jackson was shot and killed near the drive into Mill Creek Falls, off Broadway Avenue, shortly before 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

The victim's family told FOX 8 News that Jackson has two children. The family said Jackson was at the park with a group of people before the deadly shooting.
