Jeff Jackson names May law enforcement safety & support month
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCT) — Attorney General Jeff Jackson has declared May as Law Enforcement Safety and Support Month at the North Carolina Department of Justice.
'Supporting law enforcement is right at the heart of our mission at the Department of Justice,' Attorney General Jeff Jackson said. 'Our officers risk their safety every day to protect our families and communities. We need to make sure they have the support and resources they need to do their jobs well and defend our state.'
This year, Attorney General Jackson has personally met with over three dozen federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
The Attorney General is also publishing today an open letter to the families of North Carolina law enforcement officers, thanking them for their sacrifice and support.
