Driver arrested for DUI following crash near Lawrence airport
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 36-year-old Lawrence man is under investigation for driving under the influence following a head-on crash late Thursday night in Douglas County.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office reports the crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 40 Highway, near the Lawrence Regional Airport.

According to the sheriff's office, everyone involved appeared to have minor injuries.
As deputies investigated the crash, they suspected one driver of impairment and placed him in custody on a suspicion of DUI. He is not being named at this time until formal charges have been filed with the Douglas County District Attorney's Office.
