NEW YORK (PIX11) — Although the application period has just closed for certain MTA positions, a new month brings new job opportunities. Applications are now open for bus operator positions with the MTA and the Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority. The application process was simplified, as the MTA eliminated the requirement for a multiple-choice test, which previously stipulated a passing score of at least 70%. The starting salary ranges from $26.19 to $27.79, depending on the location, which can increase up to $39.70 after six years. Application fees have been waived for both positions.
