Lebanese politician Charles Jabbour, spokesman for the Lebanese Forces said in a March 15, 2025 interview that was posted on LebTalks on YouTube that Hizbullah is the reason for the Israeli occupation in south Lebanon. He stated that if Lebanon gets rid of Hizbullah, this will put an end to the Israeli occupation. Jabour stressed that while Israel doesn't have expansionist aspirations, while Iran does, therefore, once the 'Iranian party in Lebanon' – referring to Hizbullah – surrenders its weapons, Israel will withdraw. Regarding the new Syrian government, Jabbour said that his priority is combating the Iranian enterprise's 'absolute evil,' therefore, he is willing to support the regime, which is cutting off Iran's support and connection Hizbullah, despite its mistreatment of minorities in Syria. In a March 21 interview on Spot Shot on YouTube, Jabbour said that Lebanon became a failing state because of a 'microbe' called 'resistance,' and it must purify itself from it.
