That item is one of several on the consent agenda — a list of routine items that are grouped together and often approved unanimously. The commissioners learned at their last meeting that construction around two cell blocks will mean relocating up to 40 inmates until the work is completed within 60 days. Some inmates will be transferred to the Randolph County Detention Center at a cost of $100 daily per inmate. Also on the agenda are discussions on establishing a priority classification policy for the Lee County Athletic Park and the adoption of an updated resolution of the establishment of the Lee County Ambulance Advisory Committee. The commissioners will also consider approving a conservation easement policy, the Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Program Fund and the proposed Lee County Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Ordinance. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the McSwain Extension Education and Agriculture Center at 2420 Tramway Road.
