Edison State planning campus safety improvements with $130K grant
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Edison State Community College is receiving a $130,000 grant to improve safety on campus.
Lee Harmon, chief of police and director of public safety at Edison State, said the funding will allow the educational facility to maintain and improve the level of safety for everyone on campus.
'With the award of the Campus Safety Grant, we will make further enhancements college wide to continue to ensure our students and staff have a safe learning and working environment,' said Harmon. 'We're very pleased and grateful that the Ohio Department of Higher Education and the Department of Public Safety's Ohio School Safety Center have provided us with the opportunity to do so.'
The college last received the grant in November 2022.
