The auction in Seoul has been timed to coincide with Art Basel Hong Kong in an effort to attract more collectors in the Asian region. The auction house will host the contemporary art sale in Seoul on March 28 at the Seoul Auction's headquarters in Gangnam-gu with a total of 113 lots worth 1.05 billion won. The works will include those by Korean contemporary art masters such as Lee Ufan, Yoo Young-kuk and Park Seo-bo. Hong Kong is particularly important for us to meet Chinese collectors,' an official from the auction house told The Korea Herald. Among the lots are Lee Ufan's 'Dialogue' created between 2007 to 2014 and estimated at 920 million to 1.5 billion won and Park Seo-bo's reddish-color 'Ecriture No.080420' from 2008, estimated at 500 million to 800 million won.
