Legislative Council hopefuls set to face House of Keys vote
The House of Keys are set to elect four members to sit on the upper chamber of the Manx are 15 candidates in contention for the available spaces on the Legislative will vote for people they would like to see serve on the Council and in Tynwald for the next five much of the body's work involves scrutinising new legislation in its own chamber, MLCs also take part in the monthly parliament sittings and can serve on government departments and scrutiny committees.
The eight MLCs are elected in two tranches of four seats in different years to maintain and element of continuity within the latest poll, to take place in the House of Keys chamber, will see MHKs balloted with candidates who receive a majority of votes from the members present any of the four seats remain unfilled, voting will continue with the candidate securing the lowest number of votes removed from the ballot at each round.
