See what the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and working Lego F1 cars looked like
Rain, racing, celebrities, even Lego Formula 1 car replicas (that actually ran) all made their appearances Sunday at the Miami International Autodrome before McLaren dominated the day on the track. Those who came to see and not just be seen saw McLaren's Oscar Piastri and Lando Norrris sweep the top two spots at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. Miami Herald photographers saw all of the above. Check out some of the top photos from the event by Miami Herald photojournalists Carl Juste, Matias J. Ocner and Daniel A. Varela:

Lego Has Some Big Formula 1-Themed Plans for 2025
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Last year, Lego and Formula 1 announced a multi-year partnership that would include several new F1-themed products; for the first time, all 10 teams would be represented across the Lego portfolio. That was exciting news, but it turns out it was only the tip of the iceberg. Now, with the start of the 75th anniversary season of Formula 1 just weeks away, Lego has announced a comprehensive plan to celebrate the sport — one that goes far beyond new products. On February 27, Lego announced that in addition to the Lego Formula 1 sets, they would be offering at-race activities, digital content and experiences both in retail and at Legoland Discovery Centers and Lego Discovery Centers globally. As part of the push, there will be Lego Fan Zones at 13 F1 races this year, where fans can enjoy make and take builds, photo opportunities and a chance to see the entire Lego Formula 1 product range for the first time. Plus, at 20 races, there will be pop-up Lego stores that will sell Formula 1 Lego products from the numerous collections offered by the brand. On top of that, various Lego stores around the world will also take part in the celebration with race-themed experiences, including a Lego Formula 1 poster giveaway and a free steering wheel-building activity for kids to take home. 'We have a wide range of immersive and creative experiences for fans and families to dive into throughout the entire year, and we can't wait to get started,' said Federico Begher, senior vice president of new businesses at the Lego Group. Kids can visit to test their racing skills in the Lego world. There will also be a series of livestreams at where fans can learn all about the Lego Group and Formula 1 partnership and all it will offer in 2025. The first live stream was held on March 1. During that livestream, the company even dropped news of a new sweepstakes for Lego Insiders: the grand prize is a trip for two to either the Spanish or British Grand Prix. Who knows? Maybe they'll be giving away other trips in subsequent streams. You Might Also Like You Need a Torque Wrench in Your Toolbox Tested: Best Car Interior Cleaners The Man Who Signs Every Car
