Guernsey election manifestos published as candidates make promises and put forward priorities
With the Guernsey election just weeks away and candidates ramping up their campaigning, the official manifesto booklet has now been published online.
Out of the 82 people standing, 78 submitted digital manifestos and were each given up to four pages to persuade voters with their pledges and priorities for the next political term.
The print brochure version that will be sent to every Guernsey household in the coming days includes submissions from 80 candidates: the remaining two, Christopher Nicolle and Dicky Parmar, did not put forward any manifesto by the deadline.
The island's main polling day is on Wednesday 18 June from 8am until 8pm, but voters will also have the chance to cast their ballots in certain locations earlier that week and by postal voting.
