It is believed that Chiefs have signed at least five players heading into their pre-season tour to the Netherlands. Duo Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane are set to cross the floor from arch rivals Orlando Pirates. This after their contracts officially expire on June 30. It is also thought that striker Etiosa Ighodaro will join the Glamour Boys as a free agent from other rivals Mamelodi Sundowns. The two latest signings are reportedly attacking midfield duo of Asanele Velebayi and Ethan Chislett. He has shown growth both as a player and as a person and that's what makes them happy with his progress. They are believed to have enquired about him as they have shown interest in him,' said a source to same publication. Kaizer Chiefs tracking Motsepe Foundation midfielder

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly enquiring about Casric Stars midfielder Lebohang Lesako. The 26-year-old is currently involved in the PSL promotion/relegation playoffs, where his team are bottom of the table. With Stars looking unlikely to get promoted to the PSL, Lesako's performance should at least get him signed by a Premier League side. This week, Soccer Laduma reported that Amakhosi were following the progress of the 26-year-old. The Soweto giants are yet to announce any new signings but they have so far parted ways with five players. Soccer Laduma reported that Lesako was once in Kaizer Chiefs books in the 2020/21 season but left due to lack of opportunities. 'Some Chiefs scouts and recruiters have been following his progress. They know him already as he is their former player and they are happy on how he has progressed from where he was before to where he is this season. He has shown growth both as a player and as a person and that's what makes them happy with his progress. They are believed to have enquired about him as they have shown interest in him,' an insider told the publication. Kaizer Chiefs are flying off to the Netherlands, where they will camp for two weeks for their pre-season training. 'They are believed to be respecting Castic Stars and are giving them space as they are still fighting in the playoffs. It's apparently believed that after the playoffs, that's when things can open up. But the interest is there in Lebohang Lesako,' the insider added. Kaizer Chiefs scout former midfielder tearing up the playoffs

Kaizer Chiefs have reignited interest in one of their former midfielders, Lebohang Lesako, who currently plays for Casric Stars in the PSL promotion/relegation playoffs. Sources confirmed that the Soweto giants have closely monitored his recent performances and made enquiries about his availability. The source revealed the club has taken a keen interest in Lesako's development. 'Some Chiefs scouts and recruiters have been following his progress. They know him already as he is their former player and they are happy on how he has progressed from where he was before to where he is this season. He has shown growth both as a player and as a person and that's what makes them happy with his progress. They are believed to have enquired about him as they have shown interest in him,' the source disclosed. Lesako has become a central figure for Casric Stars this season, featuring prominently throughout their Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign. His consistent form and maturity on the pitch have not gone unnoticed, especially by his former employers, who initially signed him during the 2020/2021 season. After struggling for game time at Naturena, the 25-year-old sought regular football elsewhere, first with Uthongathi and later Moroka Swallows. That gamble appears to have paid off, with his current displays making a strong case for a second chance at the Glamour Boys. While Chiefs seem keen to bring Lesako back, any potential move will have to wait until Casric Stars wrap up their playoff campaign. With their focus firmly on promotion, discussions about the midfielder's future are likely to intensify once the season concludes. Is Lebohang Lesako the right player that Kaizer Chiefs needs now?
