Van Hunt's proposal to Halle Berry 'still floating', while she defends 'spinning' Mother's Day post

Halle Berry opens up about her relationship with Van Hunt, her thoughts on marriage, and reactions to a controversial Mother's Day post Halle Berry recently discussed her relationship with boyfriend Van Hunt, the couple's views on marriage, and the controversy surrounding her Mother's Day post in an appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends. In the candid interview, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that while her relationship with Hunt is thriving, she is taking her time with marriage, despite Hunt's proposal. Berry and Hunt, who have been together since 2020, shared a playful moment when Hunt revealed that he had already proposed to Berry. "I put out the proposal, and it's still on hold," Hunt joked, adding that the proposal was "floating out there" while they wait for Berry's decision. The 58-year-old actress responded with a laugh, explaining that marriage isn't a necessity for them to validate their love. She emphasized that both she and Hunt had been married before, and after multiple marriages, they are in no rush. 'We don't feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way,' Berry said, adding that when they do marry, it will be because they genuinely want to, not out of obligation. Regarding when they might tie the knot, Berry assured fans, 'I think we will get married just because, out of the people I've been married to, this is the person I should have married.' She hinted that it would happen 'soon,' but reiterated that their bond does not need a wedding certificate to be strong. Berry also addressed the backlash she received following her sultry Mother's Day post, in which she promoted her Let's Spin intimacy gel alongside Hunt. The video, caused a stir with some commenters questioning why Berry wasn't spending the day with her children. 'It's not 'Kid's Day,'' she responded, emphasizing that she had every right to enjoy her day how she saw fit. Berry, who has two children from previous relationships, said she believes it's important for mothers to take time for themselves and have their own celebrations. Though critics were vocal about the post, Berry remained firm in her stance, saying, 'If I want to be in bed and spin with my man, then that's what I'm going to do.' While Berry's relationship with Hunt is a key part of her life, she has consistently emphasized that her children and family are her top priorities. However, she also revealed how fulfilled she feels in her current romantic relationship, saying that it makes her a better mother. 'I feel happy in my life romantically, as a mother, as an artist,' Berry reflected. 'I'm a much better mother in this circumstance than I would have been had I stayed in a romantic relationship that didn't serve me.' As for her thoughts on marriage, it seems only a matter of time before the couple takes the next step, but on their terms, and in their own time.

Halle Berry takes on commenters ‘in their feelings' about her sexy Mother's Day post

Halle Berry has a message for those critical of her steamy Mother's Day post. Berry shared a video on Instagram in honor of the May holiday and used it as an opportunity to promote her Let's Spin intimacy gel, along with her boyfriend, musician Van Hunt. 'I'm going to tell you how my Mother's Day is going to end,' Berry said in the video with Hunt last month, adding that they were in Cannes and had some of her new product that they were about to…take for a spin. 'Happy Mother's Day once again, everybody,' she said. 'I hope all of you are somewhere spinning.' 'Oh my God. I ain't never been so happy to have Mother's Day come to an end,' Hunt joked. The post drew some criticism, which Berry was asked about by Jenna Bush Hager as she co-hosted an hour of 'Today' this week. 'Other women got in their feelings,' Berry said. 'They were saying, 'Should she be talking about that on Mother's Day? Shouldn't she be with her kids somewhere?,'' Berry added. 'First of all, it's not 'Kid's Day.' It's called Mother's Day. It's Kid's Day every day of the year. That's my day. If I want to be in bed and spin with my man, then that's what I'm going to do.' Berry is the mother of two children from former relationships: daughter Nahla, 17, with model Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo, 11, with actor Olivier Martinez.

Megyn Kelly rips Halle Berry for promoting 'weird' sex accessory while naked in bed with her boyfriend

Megyn Kelly slammed Halle Berry for posting a video of herself nude in bed holding a bottle of lube made by her sexual wellness company. On a Monday episode of The Megyn Kelly show, the former Fox News host said Berry's ad for her Let's Spin Intimacy Gel was 'inappropriate,' especially because of the timing of when posted the video featuring her musician partner, Van Hunt, 55. 'She looks very bizarre. Who celebrates Mother's Day by talking about how to lube up their vag, with their boyfriend in bed, from Cannes, France? This is so bizarre,' Kelly said, adding that Berry looked 'like she's on drugs with that weird laughter.' Kelly's guest, Walter Kirn, editor-at-large for County Highway, chimed in to say: 'Let's hope it's her vag.' Kelly portrayed this incident as Berry, 58, as just another example of the Oscar-winning actress getting 'more and more inappropriate in her public behavior.' She theorized that the catalyst was when actress LisaRaye McCoy said Berry was 'bad in bed' back in 2020. 'I think Halle Berry has truly been on a downward spiral,' Kelly said. 'More and more weird sex kitten photos, nude photos, sex posts.' Kelly also roasted Berry for her choice of attire at this year's Met Gala, where she graced the red carpet with no underwear and a dress that left little to the imagination. Parts of her midriff and crotch were exposed in the ensemble last week, which she teamed with a cropped black blazer with shoulder pads. Berry wasn't the only star daring to bare: White Lotus star Lisa exposed her underwear, Kim Kardashian showed off her curves, and Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega opted for no-pant ensembles. Kelly was already put off by Berry's dress at New York City's most star-studded event of the year, but she was doubly stunned by her stunt to promote her product. In the video, Berry made some not so subtle references that she and Hunt were about to have sex. 'So I told y'all how my day started. How my Mother's Day started. And now I'm gonna tell you about, I'm not going to show you, I'm gonna tell you about how my Mother's Day is gonna end. You know, ain't that right babe?' she asked Hunt. The A-lister giggled as Hunt said: 'Yeah, I wish you'd hurry up too.' Berry then held up a small travel size bottle of the personal lubricant and laughed more. She then said: 'First of all, we got our Let's Spin because Let's Spin just came out in this cute little travel size and so since we're in Cannes, France I traveled with it for the first time. And we're about to give it a spin.' Berry isn't the only famous woman Kelly has set her sights on as of late. The conservative commentator's major target has been Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. Kelly outlandishly claimed on her podcast that Markle, who married Prince Harry, killed Queen Elizabeth. She was talking with Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy, who was explaining how much he loved the Royal Family when Kelly butted in to say: 'Another thing, she killed The Queen.' Portnoy chuckled at the suggestion before agreeing, saying: 'She did kill The Queen.' Kelly added shortly after their incendiary exchange: 'She's a bully, all the young women who worked for her quit in tears she wore them down, she was so nasty. 'Then when she started her own company, similar reports were coming out from Montecito that nobody can work for her, she's a nightmare behind the scenes.' It's not the first time that Kelly has made comments about Markle, as last year she slammed her after Markle labeled herself a feminist. Speaking then, Kelly again brought up reports that Markle had caused young women to leave their posts after working with her. 'The amount of staff she has chased out, all women. Her tantrums, her tirades,' Kelly said at the time.
