Patsy Kensit's dream role in EastEnders after Emmerdale past
Having played two feisty women in soaps over the past 20 years, Patsy, 57, has spoken about some of her career highlights. Soap fans were excited to see her arrive in Walford in 2023, playing the late Lola Pearce's estranged mum, Emma. However, in the mid-noughties, Patsy caused a stir in the Dales as Sadie King in Emmerdale – a firm fan favourite that soap addicts often reference they would like to return. Patsy Kensit in EastEnders and Emmerdale (Image: BBC/ITV) Patsy has recently praised the writers and cast of both soaps, but has now revealed the soap comeback she'd love the most. In an interview with The Sun, Patsy said that EastEnders was her "dream job" and a career highlight. "Soap is something that I love and I loved my time at Emmerdale and my four years at Holby City but then I went into EastEnders,' she said. "EastEnders was actually my dream job, I've wanted to be in that show for years. "If I could throw a wish out there it would be that Emma could come back to see Lexi (her granddaughter)." Speaking about ways that Emma could make a return to the Square, Patsy added: "There could be some conflict or tension and there are a million possibilities. "The writers are amazing at what they do and yeah I'm just putting it out there!" She continued: "Everyone is at the top of their game (on EastEnders). "They are the hardest working people in the business and every day I learned something and so had to embrace the opportunity." Discussion around Patsy's character Sadie King has been revived in recent months as Classic Emmerdale episodes air on ITV3. The Lethal Weapon 2 actress was a huge scoop for the soap at the time. Another added: 'Patsy Kensit was amazing in that role, you hated her [Sadie] but loved watching.'

Patsy Kensit reveals Emmerdale and EastEnders return chances
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Former Emmerdale star Patsy Kensit revealed that she'd 'give anything' to return to EastEnders if the opportunity arises. The Lethal Weapon 2 actress played Emma Harding, mum to former mainstay Lola Pearce, on the long-running BBC serial two years ago. To soap audiences, this wasn't Patsy's first role in the genre, having played schemer Sadie King on Emmerdale between 2004 and 2006. Sadie is a character that fans have longed to stage a comeback and therefore we couldn't resist asking her about the chances of such a thing on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards. 'I had an amazing time on Emmerdale but I loved EastEnders also very very much,' said Patsy. 'I would give anything to get back on that show because it was a joy, as was Emmerdale but if I could put a wish out, it would be to go back to Walford.' When Emma last left the Square, she had slept with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in a story that resulted in the patriarch's marriage to Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) coming to an end. There was subsequent discussion among fans about whether or not we'd see her stage a return – and if she could perhaps return with Phil's baby. Weighing in on such a theory, Patsy said: 'I mean, age allowing! That would be a medical miracle, would it not? But I think that would be a great way to come back – pushing a pram! More Trending 'But also Lexi, because she's got the teenage years yet. Isabella [Brown], who plays her is such a brilliant actress. 'There's a great relationship and conflict that could happen. But it's in the hands of the gods! And the gods are the writers on these shows – and the writing is brilliant. As it was on Emmerdale.' View More » Make it happen, EastEnders! Mel Gibson and Danny Glover Have Surprise 'Lethal Weapon' Reunion, 38 Years After Film's Release
They definitely aren't too old for this. On Friday night, Feb. 7, fans got a surprise when Danny Glover walked into Mel Gibson's panel during the MegaCon fan convention in Orlando. Gibson, 69, was giving a talk on the most iconic roles in his career — and the roles he passed on, including James Bond and Gladiator's Maximus — when Glover, 78, ascended the stage, getting a standing ovation from the crowd. Gibson and Glover starred together in 1987's Lethal Weapon, going on to reprise their roles as Los Angeles police detectives Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, respectively, in 1989's Lethal Weapon 2, 1992's Lethal Weapon 3 and 1998's Lethal Weapon 4. They won an MTV Movie Award in 1993 for best on-screen duo for their work on the third film. Related: Samuel L.
