7-year-old dies after being pulled from pond in Frisco, police say
A missing 7-year-old girl died after being pulled from a pond near Stonebriar Centre in Frisco on Saturday night, May 31.
Officer and firefighters responded to a missing child in the area near 2401 Preston Road around 9 p.m., Frisco police said.
Police said the child's shoes were found at the bank of the pond, which prompted the request for assistance from Lewisville Fire Department and DPS.
The child was found and was taken to a local hospital where she later died, police said.
Further details about how the girl reached the pond were not immediately available.
