Texas politician Bobbie Mitchell stabbed, husband killed after being attacked by their grandson at home

A well-known Texas politician was stabbed and her husband murdered at their home early Monday — with their grandson charged with the bloodbath. Longtime Denton County Commissioner Bobbie J. Mitchell and her husband, Fred Mitchell, were found just before 4 a.m. inside their home in Lewisville, according to the Denton County Sheriff's Office. The Republican politician was listed as being in a stable condition while her husband was pronounced dead about an hour after the attack. Denton County Their 23-year-old grandson, Mitchell Blake Reinacher, was found at the scene and has been charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Reinacher — one of the Mitchells' nine grandchildren, according to her government website — is being held at the Lewisville jail.
