Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have golden rule to make legendary tennis marriage work
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have golden rule to make legendary tennis marriage work Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi enjoyed incredible tennis careers and have dominated the sport of pickleball in recent years while now sharing the secret behind their success on and off the court Tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are still going strong both on and off the court (Image: Getty ) Tennis legends Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi have revealed the golden rule they follow to make their marriage work. The couple are widely considered to be among the greatest tennis players the sport has ever seen. Graf's career from 1982 to 1999 saw her win a whopping 22 Grand Slams, being the only player ever to clinch each of the majors at least four times. In 2001, the German married men's tennis icon Agassi, who himself won eight Grand Slams with his scintillating play between 1986 and 2006. The couple have gone on to have two children, 23-year-old son Jaden Gil Agassi and 21-year-old daughter Jaz Elle. Now, a quarter of a century into their marriage, a key part of Agassi and Graf's relationship is the increasingly popular sport of pickleball. The two 55-year-olds began playing pickleball with their kids during the Covid-19 lockdowns in the spring of 2020 and have been hooked ever since. Graf admitted that the sport, which is similar to tennis but is played on a doubles badminton court, 'filled a huge' tennis-shaped gap in their lives post-retirement. And she revealed the one key reason that they have been able to sustain their marriage while competing. She said in an interview with BILD: 'We don't play against each other. We prefer to be on the same side of the court.' Agassi added: 'We like that pickleball is a community-oriented sport. People who play pickleball also improve quickly.' He went on to say: 'We really want to spread the game. When we're not traveling, we practice a lot of pickleball. Since we both play, it's fun to do it together.' On Saturday, April 12, Agassi hosted the first-ever Agassi Open Play Day at Life Time Green Valley to mark National Pickleball Month. The event was also mirrored at more than 100 Life Time athletic clubs around the United States at the same time. Earlier this year, Agassi and Graf defended their Pickleball Slam crown by winning the title for a third successive time. Article continues below When Agassi and Graf aren't playing pickleball, they enjoy spending time with their kids and their respective partners, even going on triple dates. Agassi said: 'We had a great date night the other night where it was me, Steffi, my son and Catherine, his girlfriend, and Jaz, our daughter, and her boyfriend Parker, and it was like a triple date and we all just went out and sat and talked. 'We feel like peers around them, we respect them, we seek their opinion on things, they're not hesitant to ask us our perspective on what they're going through, so it really feels like a healthy season in life.'

Nine water safety tips to keep kids safe in the pool this summer
You may be planning a dip in the pool or lake this Memorial Day weekend. Aquatic experts encourage you to take steps to make sure everyone is safe before going into the water. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages one to four, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Carly Drohan is the aquatics leader at Life Time Westlake. She urges people to take precautions before having fun in the water. "Make sure you're being attentive, and make sure we're keeping our eye on our children at all times and not in our phones," Drohan said. Drohan encourages parents to practice the 25-10 rule. The 25-10 rule "If your child cannot swim 25 meters, you should keep an adult that can swim confidently within about 10 feet of them at all times in case something were to happen," Drohan said. Make sure you have tools nearby in case someone starts struggling in the water. "Make sure that you're going to utilize the Shepherd's hook or the ring buoy that's going to be near any body of water that you're going to be playing in," Drohan said. Another tip is to use a mesh or foam life vest for your child instead of an inflatable one. "Inflatables could potentially pop and then create even more of a hazard if your child is going to be left with one arm in the water and such like that," Drohan said. Stay hydrated Drink enough water, particularly with electrolytes, and get your kids in swim lessons as soon as possible. "You can get your kiddos in swim lessons as young as three months old to at least get that water acclimation and safety skills built up so that by the time that they start to get a little older and more excited to explore the pool themselves, they're a bit more comfortable," Drohan said. Use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. "Always reapply when you're getting out of the water and making sure that after you're in the sun, using that aloe lotion and rehydrating the skin after you get out of the water as well," Drohan said. Wear bright or neon swimsuits since they're easier to spot in the water. Finally, get CPR certified in case you need to save a life in an emergency.

Chet Holmgren reflects on being in Minnesota to face Timberwolves in West Finals
Chet Holmgren reflects on being in Minnesota to face Timberwolves in West Finals All eyes will be on Chet Holmgren. As the Oklahoma City Thunder travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves for Games 3 and 4 of the Western Conference Finals, the seven-footer's homecoming is an underrated storyline that has reached the surface with the series changing locations. Everybody knows how proud Holmgren is of his roots. He grew up in Minneapolis and went to prestigious Minnehaha Academy for high school. Back home for the next three days, the 23-year-old's ticket request line is likely longer than his wingspan. At the Thunder's shootaround before a pivotal Game 3 that will determine the direction of this series, Holmgren reflected on all the times he walked by Target Center as he frequented downtown Minneapolis. 'I used to go under the Life Time underneath this building every single day after school," Holmgren said. "I passed a lot of these buildings on my way here every day.' Holmgren reflected on his high school days. He mentioned his gym meetups were visited by former overseas players. Even the Memphis Grizzlies pulled up once. 'Jerry Stackhouse and them were in there," Holmgren said. "He was bombing all the shots.' It'll be a busy pregame for Holmgren. But once the ball tips off for Games 3 and 4, he'll shift his focus to the Thunder and hope to add to their 2-0 series lead over the Timberwolves.
