$2 million lottery prize claimed by trust from ticket sold in Attleboro
ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WWLP) – A trust has claimed a $2 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery's 'Lifetime Millions' instant ticket game after purchasing the winning ticket in Attleboro. Hartford home of UConn Huskies basketball renamed PeoplesBank Arena According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the Rhodes Street Trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, chose to receive the prize as a one-time cash payment of $1.3 million before taxes. The winning ticket was sold at Flamingo Market, located at 850 Washington St. in Attleboro. For selling the ticket, the store will receive a $20,000 bonus from the lottery. $2M lottery prize claimed in Mass. from $50 ticket — for 2nd time in 2 days
Someone in Massachusetts claimed a $2 million lottery prize on Thursday from a winning $50 scratch ticket — the second time it's happened in the state in the past two days. The $2 million prize claimed Thursday was from a winning 'Lifetime Millions' scratch ticket. The game was released in the winter of 2024. Two top prizes of $1 million a year for life remain to be claimed as of May 30, along with two $2 million prizes and five $1 million prizes. The winning $2 million ticket was sold at a shop called Flamingo Market in Attleboro. On Wednesday, a $2 million prize was claimed from a new $50 lottery game called '$25,000,000 Mega Money." The $50 scratch ticket game released on May 13, and this was the first $2 million prize to be claimed in the game. That winning $2 million ticket was sold in East Boston at East Boston Corner Market. Overall, at least 609 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Thursday, including 12 in Springfield, 17 in Worcester and 56 in Boston. The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600. The two largest lottery prizes won so far in 2025 were each worth $15 million. One of the prizes was from a winning 'Diamond Deluxe' scratch ticket sold in Holyoke, and the other was from a '300X' scratch ticket sold on Cape Cod. Mass. Berkley woman wins $1M on 'Lifetime Millions' instant ticket game Leigh Corbin chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $800,000, before taxes, and plans on investing and upgrading his apartment with his winnings. The ticket was purchased at America's Market on Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford. The store will be receiving a $10,400 bonus for its sale of the ticket. The '$1,000 a Week for Life' game was released on February 18th and has nine remaining chances to win its top prize. An Auburndale man is celebrating a huge win. Piyushkumar Patel won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery's 'Lifetime Millions' $50 instant ticket game, state lottery officials said Friday. Patel opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes, officials said. He said he plans to purchase a new business with the winnings. He bought his winning ticket at Lynnfield Street Market, 263 Lynnfield St. in Lynn. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket. This is a developing story.
