Malibu Barbie: Margot Robbie spotted on photoshoot set
Margot Robbie has been spotted on the set of a Malibu photoshoot after lying low in the showbiz world since early last year when she became a mum for the first time. The 34-year-old actress walked with confidence down a street in a chic tweed outfit before climbing into a classic, bright red Lincoln Continental convertible. Robbie, who flashed her abdomen in the midriff-baring Chanel skirt set, later changed into red bathers for a second look in the shoot. She left her long, blonde hair down and wore minimal makeup. Robbie has been a Chanel ambassador since 2018 and is the current face of the iconic Chanel No. 5 fragrance. The Barbie star and her husband, Tom Ackerley, welcomed a baby boy into the world seven months ago. The doting mum, who will be starring opposite Jacob Elordi in the upcoming Wuthering Heights adaptation, has been keeping a low profile since early last year. Margot Robbie pictured on the set of a glamorous photoshoot in Malibu. Credit: / She told Deadline in 2024 that she purposefully 'disappeared from screens for a while' after Barbie and instead put all her energy into producing for her LuckyChap Entertainment company. 'This is the longest I haven't acted on a set, because we finished Barbie in October of 2022,' she told the publication. 'So, it's already been more than a year since I was on set as an actor, and other than COVID, that's the first time that's ever happened.' She was photographed around the Easter long weekend soaking up the Queensland weather, pictured alongside Ackerley as the couple hit the surf with friends. Robbie wore a purple bikini and a gold 'mama' necklace and was seen body surfing at a quiet beach on the Gold Coast alongside a female friend.

After 44 years and a dig through concrete, Judie Munguia is still missing
ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- On a warm spring night in 1981, 32-year-old Judie Kay Lowery Munguia told her husband she was driving to Oklahoma City. She was going, he said, to visit the widower of a friend who had recently passed away. Judie packed lightly, made last-minute arrangements, and left their home on Knight Drive in Odessa. She was never seen again. For more than 44 years, Judie's disappearance has remained one of West Texas's most notorious unsolved mysteries, marked by unanswered questions, circulating rumors, and a community's quiet frustration that justice never came. Her gray Lincoln Continental was discovered five and a half months later, abandoned at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. Investigators confirmed the car had been parked there since early June, only days after Judie was last seen. There was no sign of struggle. Her small bags were missing. None of her credit cards had been used since. No trace of Judie Munguia has ever been found. From the Texas Department of Public Safety: Name: Judie Lowery MunguiaCase Number: M0104001Case Type: Endangered – Foul Play Possible Height: 5'3″Eye Color: HazelRace: WhiteWeight: 150 Missing: 32 'Ms. Munguia has a scar on her left leg between her knee and ankle. Ms. Munguia was last seen around 1 a.m. when she left her home to visit a friend in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ms. Munguia's vehicle was found abandoned at the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on November 14, 1981. It was determined that her vehicle had been in the parking lot for a minimum of eighty days.' According to early news reports, Judie's husband filed a missing persons report with the Ector County Sheriff's Office on June 6, about a week after she disappeared. Her car, which had personalized 'MUNGUIA' license plates, was spotted in the Oklahoma City airport's long-term parking lot on November 14. 'She never made it to her destination, and we've never been able to confirm she even left town,' Ector County District Attorney Investigator Linda Primera told reporters at the time. For her family, the silence that followed was unbearable. In the months after Judie's disappearance, her loved ones offered a $20,000 reward, consulted a psychic from Dallas, and pleaded with local authorities for any updates. Still, no solid leads emerged. 'It really wasn't like Judie to leave without contacting her family,' her sister Jackie Kemp told The Odessa American in December 1981. 'Especially me. We were very, very close. It's the saddest Christmas we all have had.' While investigators followed up on leads in multiple states, one theory gained a life of its own: that Judie had never left Odessa at all. According to Susan Rogers, CEO of Odessa Crime Stoppers, the organization received repeated anonymous tips over the years suggesting Judie's body may have been buried in concrete on a property once owned by her husband. 'From the time she went missing, within a year, that rumor started, and it's never really stopped,' Rogers told ABC Big 2 News in an interview this May. 'Every time we feature her case, we get tips saying the same thing: that she's buried out there…we call it an urban legend because it really is an urban legend.' But turning tips into action takes more than rumor. The property could not be searched without probable cause and, crucially, permission. It wasn't until last fall, more than 40 years after Judie's disappearance and years after her husband's death, that Judie's family gave law enforcement the go-ahead to finally investigate the site. Cadaver dogs were brought in. Concrete was broken apart. Every inch of the property, including its outbuildings and surrounding land, was carefully combed through. They found nothing. 'Cadaver dogs went through the entire property, all the shops, the buildings, everything over there, concrete, the whole nine yards,' Rogers said. 'She is not buried at that house…in the concrete or anywhere else…We were all hopeful that we were going to have a conclusion tothis and that we would be able to find her, but that was not the result.' Perhaps the strangest element of the case remains the discovery of Judie's car, untouched, sitting in an Oklahoma airport parking lot for months. In the early '80s, airport security worked differently. There were no surveillance cameras, no digital gate records, no license plate scanners. But there was one routine: security staff drove around on golf carts and manually logged plate numbers. 'They were able to confirm that Judie's car had been there for quite a while, possibly just weeks after she disappeared,' Rogers said. 'It sat there, unnoticed, for months.' There were no fingerprints, no blood, no obvious signs of foul play inside the vehicle. The keys weren't found. Neither were the bags she was believed to have taken with her. For years, family members reported unconfirmed sightings of Judie in Odessa and Monahans. But none could be substantiated, and authorities say there's no credible evidence that Judie ever resurfaced. Now, more than four decades later, the pain remains raw for Judie's family. Her son, now an adult with children of his own, still lives in Odessa. Her sister, Jackie Kemp, has remained involved in the case for years, pressing for updates, retelling Judie's story, and keeping her name in public view. 'Her family never stopped searching,' Rogers said. 'Even after 40 years, when I speak to families, they always tell me: it feels like it happened yesterday.' Judie's disappearance is still considered an open investigation by the Ector County Sheriff's Office. Crime Stoppers continues to feature her case and is asking anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. 'There are people in Odessa who still remember that time,' Rogers said. 'People who might've seen something, or know someone who did. It only takes one person to speak up.' If you have information about the disappearance of Judie Munguia, call Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS. You can remain anonymous. A reward may be available for information that leads to an arrest or resolution in the case. Gabriella Meza is a Journalist/Digital Reporter with ABC Big 2 News. From Seat to Mercedes: The Evolution of the Popemobile
All heads of state have special cars. Donald Trump gets around with a huge Cadillac called The Beast , while his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin rolls in a massive Aurus Arsenal . However, people often forget that the Pope is also a head of state. Specifically, he's the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City-State, and when he travels he needs a special vehicle like any other leader. As such, his rides aren't generally normal cars, and over the years these special creations have earned the name Popemobile. Here's a quick look at some of the curious rides used by the Pope through the years. 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300D Pope John XXIII's car, it marked the strengthening of ties between the German brand and the Vatican, whereas World War II had interrupted ties between Mercedes and the smallest state in the world. 1964 Lincoln Continental Limousine Popemobile by Lehmann-Peterson Paul VI first had a Mercedes, specifically a 600 Landaulet, and then obtained a Lincoln Continental Limousine. It was converted into a Popemobile by Lehmann Peterson in 1964. 1982 Seat Panda In the early 1980s, the Fiat Panda was also marketed under the Seat logo, before becoming the Marbella. The Pope was driving a Mercedes G-Class at the time, but a trip to Spain was planned and the sizable off-roader was too big to fit through some locations on the journey. As such, a prototype of Seat Panda was requisitioned and hastily converted. 1984 Land Rover In 1981, John Paul II was the victim of an attempted attack. That led to this interesting Range Rover, modified to protect him. Many subsequent Popemobiles would offer similar protection. 1985 Mercedes-Benz S-Class In the mid-1980s, the Vatican once again used Mercedes sedans like this W126 S-Class as the official car for John Paul II. 1986 Renault Espace The Pope's visit to Lyon in 1986 was marked by the creation of a French Popemobile, specially adapted for the occasion. It is a Renault Espace with reinforced windows and low-pressure tires, so that it can react sharply in the event of an assassination attempt. 1999 Cadillac DeVille This Cadillac DeVille Parade Phaeton was designed in 1998, especially for the arrival of John Paul II in the United States. 2007 Mercedes-Benz G-Class The first Popemobile of the Benedict XVI era, this Mercedes G-Class is a classic among Vatican vehicles. 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Considered too uncomfortable, the G-Class was replaced by a more civilized Mercedes ML, and equipped again with a glass cabin to protect Pope Francis. 2012 Renault Kangoo ZE In 2012, Renault forged new ties with the Pope and offered him a 100-percent electric Popemobile, a Kangoo Z.E, which he used for his trips around his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo. 2024 Mercedes-Benz G 580 EQ Photo by: Mercedes-Benz Mercedes CEO Ola Källenius presented a new electric Popemobile to Pope Francis in December 2024. The modified G doesn't just have a raised roof for the Pontiff to stand. The electric powertrain has been modified specifically for driving at very slow speeds. Presumably, that means it can't rip a tank turn. Other Stately Vehicles: 13 Presidential Vehicles And The Heads Of State Who Ride In Them The US Secret Service Can't Drive Stick. Neil Young's Latest Single Uses F-Word for Tesla, Critiques Detroit Big Three
Neil Young, like many rockstars, is a gearhead. His book, 'Special Deluxe,' was an autobiographical look back at the 79-year-old folk rocker's life through his cars. At an age when many of his peers are slowing down, Young can still be spotted out and about cruising in his custom cars, such as his 'LincVolt' restomodded 1959 Lincoln Continental. He's also, not surprisingly, penned at least a half-dozen songs about cars. His latest, 'Lets Roll Again,' shows just how much Young is keeping up with the auto industry, and calls out GM, Ford, Stellantis, and Tesla in the wake of increased Chinese competition. Written to the tune of Woody Guthrie's 'This Land Is Your Land,' 'Let's Roll Again' starts out with shots fired at the Detroit Three. 'Come on Ford, c'mon GM, come on Chrysler, let's roll again,' the song starts, before continuing, 'Build something useful that people need, build us a safe way for us to be. Build us something that won't kill our kids, that runs real clean.' Young, who is a proponent of cleaner electrified cars, then spends a later verse detailing his wishlist for future product from Ford and GM, singing, 'Build us some small vans for city streets, and spend a clean day delivering. Don't want no loud sounds coming from the back, spewing a buncha poison—it's not a racetrack…' The song's chorus' discusses a story MotorTrend has been paying particularly close attention to: increased competition from China in the form of the country's electric cars. 'On down the highway from place to place, come on America let's get in the race. Now China's way ahead, they're building clean cars. Some days are like that, it doesn't matter. Some days are like that, so taste your freedom,' he sings. Young's final verse calls out Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk, the latter of which has been in the news lately for his outsized role in the Trump administration, singing 'If you're a fascist, then get a Tesla. If it's electric it doesn't matter. If you're a democrat than taste your freedom. Get whatever you want and taste your freedom.' You can listen to the song yourself below:

‘If you're a fascist, get a Tesla': Neil Young targets Elon Musk in new song
Neil Young debuted a politically charged new song at a benefit concert in Los Angeles over the weekend to deliver pointed criticism of President Donald Trump, Elon Musk and his electric vehicle company Tesla. The track, believed by fans to be titled ' Let's Roll Again,' opens with a rallying cry to American automakers: 'Come on Ford, come on GM/ Come on Chrysler, let's roll again.' Young goes on to champion a return to responsible manufacturing while acknowledging China's lead in clean vehicle production. 'China's way ahead, they're making clean cars,' he sang during the performance for Autism Speaks' Light Up the Blues concert at the Greek Theatre on Saturday, April 26. Following a harmonica break, Young delivered his most biting lyric: 'If you're a fascist, get a Tesla/ It's electric, it doesn't matter.' The song ends with a final jab: 'If you're a democrat, taste your freedom/ Get whatever you want, taste your freedom.' Young, who for years lived on a ranch in Woodside (San Mateo County), has long been an advocate for sustainable automotive technology. In 2008, he launched Linc Volt Technology to promote retrofitting gas-powered vehicles with clean energy alternatives. That same year, he unveiled a 1959 Lincoln Continental converted to run on electric batteries and a biodiesel generator at San Francisco's Dreamforce conference. The musician later adapted a Mercedes-Benz and a Hummer to run on used vegetable oil. Young's five-song set also featured a rare performance of the 18-minute B-side 'Ordinary People,' not played live since 1989, and concluded with 'Rockin' in the Free World ' alongside longtime collaborator Stephen Stills. The performance comes ahead of a busy summer for Young, who is set to headline the Glastonbury Festival and launch a European and North American tour. The 'Harvest Moon' singer, who currently holds dual Canadian-American citizenship and previously described Trump as 'a disgrace to my country,' has voiced concerns about returning to the U.S. in the current political climate. 'When I go to play music in Europe, if I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminium blanket,' he wrote on his website last month. 'That's right folks, if you say anything bad about Trump or his administration, you may be barred from re-entering USA.' After his international tour, Young is scheduled to bring his 'Love Earth' tour to Mountain View's Shoreline Amphitheatre on Sept. 12. In the meantime, he and his wife, actress Darryl Hannah, are promoting 'Coastal,' a new black-and-white concert film documenting Young's solo performances in Southern California.
