Lockdown lifted at Lincoln County middle, high schools following threat investigation

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56)— Lincoln County High School was placed on lockdown on Thursday, with Lincoln County Middle School on a soft lockdown, as police investigated a potential threatening message to the high school. Lincoln County Public Schools posted on Facebook that the lockdown was implemented out of an abundance of caution. Around noon on Thursday, officials said the lockdown at the high school and the soft lockdown of the middle school had been lifted. This week, we want to introduce you to Tonitia Butler, a teacher at Central High School. Those who nominated her said she is so much more to the students and faculty and their families than just the Spanish teacher. They said she is a devoted teacher who cares so much for her students and the community. Mrs. Butler is also the sponsor of student council, peers for life, Scholars Bowl, junior high honor society, peer helper and was previously the yearbook sponsor!' those who nominated her said.
