Flames from fire pit spread to nearby building in Wisconsin, damage limited
MERRILL, Wis. (WFRV) – Crews in northern Wisconsin worked to quickly put out a fire that began in a fire pit but had spread to a nearby building on Tuesday.
According to the Merrill Fire Department, crews responded to the 400 block of Superior Street on the morning of May 20 for reports of a structure fire.

When crews arrived, they found out the flames from a fire pit had spread to 'adjacent structures.' The fire, which was deemed accidental, was quickly put out, further limiting its damage.
The Merrill Fire Department was assisted by the Merrill Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, WPS, & Pine River Volunteer Fire Department.
