EastEnders accidentally drops MAJOR Linda Carter spoiler months before it hits screens in now-deleted post

EastEnders accidentally dropped a major Linda Carter spoiler months before it is supposed to hit our screens in a now-deleted post. The businesswoman - played by Kellie Bright in the BBC soap - is the current landlady of the iconic Queen Vic in Albert Square, alongside her mum Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe). Linda and her ex husband Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) took over as owners of the boozer from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in 2013. The former couple were owners until 2017, then property company Grafton Hill took over for one year, but the pair returned to the doors in 2018. Between 2020 and 2022, Sharon Watts was landlady, but Linda has been owner again for the past three years. However this might all be changing very soon. An eagle-eyed fan shared a screen grab one of the show's recent TikTok posts and wrote on discussion website Reddit: 'EastEnders just released a video on TikTok, and there's an Auction sign on The Queen Vic. 'What do we think?' In the clip, a group of people are seen walking into the pub, but what is very telling is that there is a for sale sign above the front door. EastEnders captioned the post: 'That's one way to get to The Vic!' The show's official TikTok account has since deleted the post. Many rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on what they think is going on. One said: 'Interesting. I wonder if Linda and the Knights are selling the Vic in an auction.' 'There was a rumour before that George was going to mess up the insurance on the pub and they were going to be forced to sell it, so I wonder if that'll be what's happening here.' Another replied to them with: 'The insurance has already paid out though - unless it hasn't and he went to Teddy as a back hand job and now can't afford to pay for it? To be fair, that actually makes sense. Don't you have to go through specific contractors through insurance? I doubt you can just pick anyone. 'Personally I hope they are selling. It's time the Vic went to someone new. I'm sick of the Carters/Knights. 'Maybe that's why they haven't bothered to change the interior - cause someone else is coming a long.' 'Oh dear. Why do I have a sinking feeling it'll go to the new Mitchells?' 'Perhaps they can't afford the Vic, and I'm predicting if Phil and Linda do get closer, like a lot of people are saying that he'll bid on it and own it while they run it.' 'Oh??? Are the Knights and Linda gonna have money problems?? Who'll get the pub if that's the case?' 'New family coming into town.' MailOnline has contacted the BBC for comment. Many fans took to Reddit to share their thoughts on what they think might happen in the BBC soap since the post got deleted It's not the first time an EastEnders storyline has nearly been exposed. Earlier this month atop secret wedding in EastEnders which is due to air in the summer has been exposed after footage of the scenes was leaked online by fans. Reports have revealed that a drone managed to fly above the iconic Walford set at the Elstree Centre, located in the village of Borehamwood in Hertfordshire. According to The Sun, the footage was then leaked online by fans and the clip managed to get snippet of a limo arriving outside the Queen Vic, surrounded by some of the characters of the BBC soap getting into the party spirit. It also saw a cast member trying to shoo the electronic device away. Luckily for the show, the clip is not available to watch online anymore. Fans will be able to see the actual storyline play out on their screens later this year.

EastEnders icon Danny Dyer reveals why he left the BBC show

The actor, who played the role of Mick Carter until 2022, shared that a specific character and story development made him reconsider his time on the programme. In the show, his character was swept out to sea following a showdown between him, Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). While the Carter family moved on with the belief that he was dead, his demise was kept intentionally vague, allowing for a possible future return. EastEnders legend Danny Dyer reveals the reason why he left the BBC soap opera In the latest series of The Assembly, formerly on the BBC, famous faces like David Tennant and Gary Lineker were interviewed by 35 autistic, neurodivergent or learning disabled individuals. During the ITV show, Danny Dyer revealed that the offer of the EastEnders role came at the right time. According to The Metro, he said: "I reached a point where I'd made many mistakes in my life and no one would employ me anymore, then EastEnders came along and said: 'we love you – we want to put you in the Queen Vic'. "That saved my life because I had bailiffs at my door. The first four years were incredible." Danny admitted that things started to change for him when Dominic Treadwell-Collins left as EastEnders producer. Recommended Reading: This change saw Mick begin a relationship with Janine, kickstarting fears that he was on the chopping block. He added: "A new producer came in and he didn't like the Carters. He started to sack people – my son, my daughter – they've still got Kellie Bright in it, who plays my wife, Linda Carter. But then they split me up from Kellie and put me with Janine. "When they told me, I said: 'Janine? But she murders people!' I thought 'oh no, if I stay too long, she'll kill me – I've got to get out'. And basically I went in the sea, and was never found again."
