Hunter Lineberry Asked ChatGPT For Help Finding A Wife And Shares The Fun Journey Online

Hunter Lineberry decided enough was enough and went to an expert for some dating advice. The single TikToker from Florida, on a mission to find his future wife, turned to for a little help. Since mid-May, he's been sharing AI's dating suggestions on and The Blast recently caught up with him to see just how it's going, why he decided to put his dating life in the hands of AI, and what's next in his search for the one. It all began on May 16 when Lineberry, 32, posted a video on TikTok explaining what he's doing to help him find a wife. "Day one of posting what ChatGPT tells me to until I find a wife," he said in his video. He asked ChatGPT what "green flags" women are looking for in a man. On day two, ChatGPT suggested that Lineberry, "share a fun fact" about himself and ask his followers to share their fun facts. "Some fun facts about me: I grew up in the Virgin Islands and I've never had a massage before," he said before asking, "What about you? You got anything good?" His followers dropped into the comments to share some thoughts and fun facts of their own. One person suggested, "Ask ChatGPT to use everything you've ever told it to explain why it thinks you don't have a wife yet." Another wrote, "Fun fact: I'm an elementary teacher and a bartender at a veterans' post. They're kind of the same job with different sized individuals." A few hundred more "fun facts" filled the comment section, so maybe ChatGPT is on to something? On day 4, ChatGPT suggested that Lineberry tells an "embarrassing or funny dating story," and he did just that. "The most embarrassing dating type of story that I have is, matched with a girl on Tinder one time, got her phone number, we started talking. Got along really well. We hit it off," he said. "The day before we were planning on hanging out, she asked me how tall I was. Hate to burst some of y'alls bubble, but I'm a short king, I am 5'7, and this girl was 5'8. She told me that she felt too masculine being an inch taller than me, and that we could not speak anymore, and that our plans to hang out the next day were canceled." He then asked his followers to share their dating horror stories, and boy did they deliver. "Met a dude on Tinder. Talked for a bit. Met up at a bar with some of my friends. Ended up going home with him. Noticed the next day that he didn't have a left hand. I definitely had some drinks, but not that many. I was more embarrassed for myself that I didn't notice. It fizzled soon after that after he showed his crazy. Unrelated to the missing hand," one person shared. Another said, "Went on a date with a guy who was definitely gay. When we discussed it, he denied being into boys. Later that night, we went a gay bar and the pictures I took of him and his new friends tell the rest of the story." Many single people looking to date might agree - dating apps aren't it. That's what led Lineberry to try the ChatGPT route. Currently on day 12 of the journey, he's had some interesting progress and some great stories to tell. "I was fooling around with dating apps and they're the worst," he told The Blast exclusively. "And I was sitting around one day depressed from it. I was casually using ChatGPT as my therapist that day and just chatting. I'm like there's got to be another way." That's when ChatGPT entered the dating game. Lineberry figured maybe it can help him come up with things to do or post that could potentially attract a partner, and that's how this journey began. When asked what day he's on, Lineberry said he's about to film day 12's video. And is he getting any traction from the first 11 days? He absolutely is! While a few of his videos have gone viral or close to viral, he's also meeting new likeminded people in the process. Lineberry told The Blast that he has a few active conversations happening currently, but they are all in different states from him. That's not discouraging him though, and in fact, he said a visit to another state could be a possibility down the road. He's not counting anything out. "I've been talking to three different girls that I've become friends with because, you know, that's where you gotta start as far as I'm concerned," he explained. "They all live in different states, but there might be a visit at some point in time. It's a process, and I'm going to take my time." This journey has taken off in a great way for Lineberry and he's looking forward to what's next. As this process has been moving along nicely, he's found that he isn't only interested in finding a partner but also building a likeminded community. "It's obviously a journey to find a partner in crime. I think that the way I perceive life is that I would enjoy it better sharing it with somebody, so that's the ultimate goal," he said. "But at the same time, I would like to get fulfillment from building some kind of community. I've always wanted to shift my career path to helping out other people, and I like connecting with people." While it's more women than men engaging with his content, he's also interested in finding a way to reach other men who are also struggling to find a partner so they can try some of the things that have been working well for him. Want to check out Hunter Lineberry's dating journey with the help of ChatGPT? Or maybe you're single and interested in getting to know him better? You can follow along on both Instagram and TikTok. And he's promised The Blast that he'll keep us informed about any amazing progress he experiences.
