Massive demonstrations in Iran call for retaliation against Israel and revenge for the blood of the leaders
Cairo - 13 June 2025: After Friday prayers, the Iranian capital, Tehran, witnessed mass demonstrations demanding a response to the Israeli attack, and protesters held pictures of some of the leaders who were killed in the attack, calling for revenge.
On Friday, the Israeli occupation launched a series of large-scale strikes on nuclear and military sites in Iran, killing prominent military leaders, while Iranian leader Ali Khamenei promised Tel Aviv a "bitter and painful fate."
Tel Aviv said it carried out a "precise and pre-emptive strike" against Iran, declaring an imminent threat from its nuclear program, and declared a state of emergency at home as Israelis prepare for a retaliatory attack.
The military operation against Iran was dubbed "Lion Rising" by the Israeli occupation army and targeted Iran's nuclear program, according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
