Maria Empanada opens new Congress Park location
Maria Empanada's newest location opens Wednesday in Denver's Congress Park neighborhood.
Dig in: The Buenos Aires-style café's fourth outpost in metro Denver sits just across East High School along a strip of Colfax that's undergone multiple storefront changes over the past several months.
The site Maria Empanada took over used to house Little Beast, a street food restaurant that closed in 2021.
What to expect: The new location at 2730 E. Colfax Ave. will serve both its sweet and savory empanadas, alfajores (traditional Argentinean cookies), Spanish-style churros, medialunas and boasts a full espresso coffee bar, per a statement.
The empanada shop also has locations on South Broadway, Platte Street and Stanley Marketplace in Aurora.
Stop by: The Colfax eatery will be open from 6:30am to 8pm Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm on Saturdays and 8am to 7pm Sundays.
