Pearly-Thinaah finish second in Indonesia Open
KUALA LUMPUR: Women's doubles Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah went down fighting to China's world No. 1 Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning in the Indonesia Open final today in Jakarta. The world No. 4 Malaysians lost 23-25, 21-12, 21-19 in 87 minutes at the Istora Senayan. Sheng Shu-Tan Ning won US$107,300 (RM453,671) while Pearly-Thinaah settled for US$50,750.

Sheng Shu-Tan Ning turn the tables on compatriots to claim Malaysia Masters title
KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 1 women's doubles pair Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning from China got their revenge over compatriots Jia Yi Fan-Zhang Shu Xian in the final of the Malaysia Masters today (May 25). Sheng Shu-Tan Ning triumphed 21-17, 21-18 in 47 minutes against Yi Fan, the Paris Olympics gold medallist, and her new partner Shu Xian at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil. Victory must feel sweet for Sheng Shu-Tan Ning as they had lost to Yi Fan-Shu Xian (world No. 15) in the final of the Swiss Open in March. The top-ranked duo have now won both the Malaysia Masters and Malaysia Open. They won the latter, a Super 1000 tournament, last year.
