Kitten trapped in Livermore storm drain rescued by Public Works crew
A curious kitten in Livermore got itself stuck after wandering into a storm drain, police said on Tuesday. The city's stormwater team and the police's Animal Services officer were sent to the area of Preston Avenue to rescue the kitten. Police said they removed the storm drain cover and lowered a humane trap into the storm drain. They then used a net to gently get the kitten into the trap. Stolen Glock, weed found in probationer's car: Livermore PD
(KRON) – A Sacramento man is facing drug and weapon charges after a stolen gun and marijuana were found in his car, according to the Livermore Police Department. Patrol officers said they noticed a man in the front seat of a car around 1 a.m. on Friday. According to Livermore PD, there was a visible Glock 10mm handgun tucked into the rear pocket of the front passenger seat. Police searched the vehicle and said officers found more than an ounce of marijuana and a digital scale. It was also discovered that the Glock was reported stolen out of Vallejo last year. He was arrested and booked on suspicion of multiple drug and firearm-related charges, including possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public and carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
