'My job as a senior player' - Maddison feels Spurs responsibility
James Maddison has accepted that this season has been a "balancing act" as Tottenham prepare for their Europa League semi-final first leg against Bodo/Glimt on form between the Premier League and Europe has fluctuated, and Maddison admitted the mood was low after Sunday's 5-1 defeat at Liverpool."You want to feel the hurt and embarrassment," said the 28-year-old."My job as a senior player is to accept the fact we were poor and understand we can't go forward like that, because the league is what gives you the momentum to take in to Europe."Despite their struggles domestically, Thursday represents a chance to take one step towards reaching a major final."It's huge," Maddison added. "When you get to the end of your career and you look back, there are not many times as a player when you've been in a major European semi-final."It's been a poor season, but we still have the chance to do something special and we've earned that."

'Sensational' Bodo/Glimt are not to be underestimated
Former Premier League midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has warned Tottenham "not to underestimate" Thursday's Europa League semi final opponents Bodo/Glimt because they have been one of the standout teams in this players' will have to recover - and fast - following Sunday's thumping at Liverpool."The performance was not good enough," said Reo-Coker on the BBC Radio 5 Live Football Daily podcast. "The mental side of it for these players, who are going into two legs of a game that can book them a place in a European final, will be interesting."I don't think you would want to lose in that manner before such a big game - even if it is to Liverpool."No one really expected Tottenham to win because they made eight changes but Ange Postecoglou has now probably dug himself an even deeper hole because how are you going to get these players up again for such a big game?"I would warn Spurs now not to underestimate Bodo/Glimt. They have been one of the fantastic teams in this Europa League. I have covered them in this competition and they are a sensational footballing side. Whether that be on their artificial pitch at home or grass away."They are going to cause Tottenham some serious problems."Listen to the Football Daily podcast on BBC Sounds

'Alexander-Arnold has won everything with the club - but fans are gutted'
Liverpool fan Abigail Rudkin says reports that Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to leave the club for Real Madrid have left fans feeling "devastated" despite it being the news a lot of them were about the news to BBC Radio Merseyside, Rudkin said: "It's very sad for Liverpool fans - it's put a bit of a dampener on the title."Not a very big dampener but it does have that feeling of last game of the season are we going to give Trent some sort of goodbye?"The parade if we do win the league, does that have some sad emotion to it? Some bittersweet emotion about it if he's walking away with the Premier League trophy under his arms."But, we have been expecting it. This season Virgil [Van Dijk] stopped in the mixed zone and said he wanted to stay, [Mohamed] Salah's stopped and said we're far away from what he wants but that he does want to stay."Trent didn't do that - he stayed very quiet all season and articles came out saying he didn't want it being played out in the media but the opposite has happened - it's created more speculation than anyone wanted which has led us to where we are now with everyone saying he's agreed to go there."He's said so many times that he wanted to finish his career at Liverpool but something changed this year and he picked wanting to win the Ballon d'Or rather than achievements with Liverpool."I thought in that moment it changed a bit to the Trent Alexander-Arnold show - looking after himself and what he can achieve. I think he feels he can win the Ballon d'Or at Madrid but I don't think so - I think there's other players that can get there before him."As a Liverpool fan you're just devastated to see he's made that decision - but he has won everything there is to win at Liverpool."We are all living vicariously through Trent and now he has decided Madrid is the new dream - that's why we're all gutted."Listen to the interview here
