Could Reds strike a Kerkez-Robertson balance?
Liverpool fan and podcaster Lukleiva believes reported target Milos Kerkez will not settle for limited game time if he was to join Reds have been linked with a move for the Bournemouth left back, who has featured in all 34 Premier League games for the Cherries so far this currently have Andy Robertson at left-back, who has played in 31 of the 34 league on the potential situation, Lukleiva told BBC Radio Merseyside: "Kerkez wouldn't come in and only play half the games, so that means Liverpool have to look at a different target if that's the plan. That could be Jorrel Hato from Ajax - he was at a few of the games recently."But you definitely want Kerkez. He's one of the breakout stars of the Premier League season. He's really young, he's played under Arne Slot at AZ Alkmaar, but he won't share minutes with Andy Robertson."Kerkez would start 80% of games and Robertson would play Carabao Cup and the likes of Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League."Whether that is something Robertson is willing to side with or whether he'd then want to move on, that's something they need to talk about."You can listen to the full chat on BBC Sounds

Ismael on Beck injury and club turmoil
Blackburn Rovers left-back Owen Beck has been ruled out for the remainder of the season and could possibly return to his parent club 22-year-old missed seven games before returning to play just 13 minutes of Rovers' loss to Portsmouth at the weekend."The way I like to play, I need the energy and intensity and I like those profiles. When you've got those profiles in your squad, then you can't wait to see the players," head coach Valerien Ismael told BBC Radio Lancashire."When you lose the player after 10 minutes when he comes back, it's difficult."I was really excited to work with him but unfortunately, he's going the other way."Defender Hayden Carter has a calf injury that will keep him out for five to six weeks and may also see his season come to a premature Harry Pickering will make his return for the game against Middlesbrough on Friday having been sidelined since Christmas with a hamstring club is currently in the midst of turmoil with their supporters, with senior figures expected not to heed fan requests to stay clear of the Lancashire club's seven remaining Ismael believes that it will be the "energy" from his players that will influence the atmosphere, not the dispute between the fans and its ownership."That energy we give on the pitch can help us to get the fans on board so the game will dictate the environment," the Frenchman said."It's not nothing new with this fracture, the only thing we can do is be focused on ourselves."

'That is why I came here... I have high ambitions' - Isak on cup final
Newcastle striker Alexander Isak says all of his focus is on "bringing a trophy back" to St James' Park, amid a season of speculation surrounding his current deal does not expire until the summer of 2028 but he has been linked with a move away from the club as a result of his excellent form."That is why I came here," he said when asked about his ambitions at the club."I have said many times that I don't really think too much about my future. I have said many times I am happy here and we are competing for titles, which is what you want as a football player. We have been to one final and now we are in another one."The chances are there. We should look at it one season at a time - and this season we can win a trophy. I have said many times I am focused on doing a job. All of our focus is on Sunday and bringing a trophy back."Isak also played down any injury fears before Sunday's Carabao Cup final against 25-year-old - who has scored 22 goals so far this season - has only recently returned from a groin problem but started the FA Cup defeat by Brighton at the start of March and Monday's Premier League win over West Ham."I feel good," Isak added. "I am really excited for the game."The best way to prepare is to train as normal. It will come down to what we do as a team, and that is all we can focus on. I am excited but focused on the job."I just want to be the best version of myself. I have high ambitions. I am trying to create my own history at Newcastle. I'm happy with what I have done so far but always looking forward."Listen to more from Isak and captain Bruno Guimaraes speaking to BBC Radio Newcastle's Simon Pryde on BBC Sounds

'Context of Bournemouth's form is remarkable'
With 13 games left of the Premier League season, Bournemouth have every right to feel delighted about the first two-thirds of the never made it this far into a top-flight season with anything approaching a positive goal difference, the Cherries are already only five short of equalling last term's record points tally and the fans are dreaming about Europe - even if the club will not publicly engage in such is more remarkable is the context in which this run of form has been Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou's weekend gripes about "players out of position and kids on the bench", Cherries supporters could be forgiven for pointing to their past month spent without a fit right-back or central striker, and a host of untried development squad players filling out the substitutes' they still managed to beat Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Everton and Southampton by a combined total of 14 goals to two, only stumbling with a 2-0 defeat by champions-elect injury situation seems to be slightly easing, with Marcus Tavernier back for some important cameos off the bench (plus a start in the FA Cup), while Alex Scott and Luis Sinisterra - both sidelined since the win over Arsenal in mid-October - made comebacks as substitutes in Saturday's win at St Mary' return could be particularly welcome as Ryan Christie has been walking a disciplinary tightrope for two games since picking up his ninth yellow card of the season against 'cut-off' for suspensions for 10 cautions is not until after teams have completed 32 league games - mid-April - so it may be unrealistic to expect Christie's all-action midfield style not to earn him a yellow card before then. In which case, with Lewis Cook still deputising as a makeshift right-back, Scott could be the man to step Semenyo and Justin Kluivert, who both served one-match bans earlier in the season for accumulating five bookings, are now on six, as is Cook, with Dean Huijsen (now appearing almost daily in the BBC transfer gossip column) on five.
