Young woman dies after horror fall down stairs at bar
Georgia Harry was on life support for over three weeks after her fall in March.
A "bubbly" young woman tragically died almost a month after a horror fall at a bar during a night out.
Georgia Harry, 26, fell down the stairs at Lost in Liverpool city centre at around 2.15am on Monday, March 17.
She was rushed to hospital before being put on life support in intensive care at The Walton Centre, a specialist neurology unit.
Her mum Nicola Poolton told our sister title the Liverpool ECHO that her daughter's life support was withdrawn on April 8, but she "fought until the end" and stayed alive for another five days before passing away surrounded by friends and family on April 13. Her funeral was held on May 7.
Nicola, 44, said: "She was very bubbly, outgoing and friendly with everyone. She was a hard-working girl who loved to have fun with her friends and going on holidays. She was so sociable."
Georgia lived with Nicola and their two dachshunds Mabel and Maggie, and worked at Liverpool Passport Office. Her mum continued: "She loved reading and taking her dogs out for walks. She loved doing the pub quizzes too."

Speaking about her fight in hospital, she added: "She was in ICU at The Walton Centre. We were told on the night that they didn't she would make it through the night.
"But when we turned off life support she survived for five days. She was a fighter and she fought till the end. She was strong."
Nicola said her daughter had died as a result of a serious head injury. It was confirmed by Merseyside Police a few days later that a woman, Georgia, had fallen down the stairs in Lost at around 2.15am.
Although the force's investigations have concluded, a date for an inquest into her death has been set for July this year.
