Livonia library announces library card design contest
LIVONIA, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) – Livonia artists are invited to submit their design ideas for the next edition of the Livonia Public Library card.
"Whether a seasoned designer or just someone who loves to create, we invite you to showcase your talent," the announcement said.
The library card art contest is part of a 75th anniversary celebration for the city.
All Livonia residents and Livonia-based students are eligible to enter. There are three age brackets age 12 and younger; age 13 to 17; age 18 and older. Only one entry per person, and submissions must be the original work of the entrant. The deadline to submit is March 31.
The theme is "Libraries Inspire: A World of Imagination." Suggested designs include the joy of reading, discovery, community or the history of Livonia.
A panel of judges will make the selections, with one winner in each age category.
