Morrisons distributes free fruit to children at Bradford City
Morrisons kicked off a new initiative on Saturday (April 5) when it handed out free fruit to children at Bradford City AFC, with the programme set to continue for the 2025 and 2026 season home games.
The Bradford-based supermarket, which is a main partner of the club, aims to offer young people one of their five-a-day and encourage healthy snacking through the fruit-giving initiative.
At every home game, kids will be able to select a piece of fruit to enjoy whilst watching the football in the Morrisons Family Stand.
The initiative is an extension of Morrisons' Free Fruit for Kids scheme, which is active in all of its stores.
Liz Tattersley, corporate affairs manager at Morrisons, said: "As a Bradford-based business we are delighted to be taking our free fruit for kids initiative from the store to the stadium.
"By giving away free fruit to kids at home games, we can provide a healthy choice for children to snack on as they cheer on our local football team."
Morrisons also distributes 1000 free tickets per season to charities across the city, allowing those who would not normally be able to attend to enjoy a match.
