‘PoK was surrendered…': Sudhanshu Trivedi's fiery response to Rahul Gandhi
On Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's statement, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi says, 'By making objectionable and cheap comments about PM Narendra Modi, he has once again proved that he does not have the ability and maturity to handle a serious post like the Leader of the Opposition. Rahul Gandhi has once again shown his lack of wisdom and low standards by making such statements. I want to tell Rahul Gandhi that this is the same party and the same organisation that has made the invincible Congress irrelevant in many states...I want to tell Rahul Gandhi what surrender is. You had said on 15 July 2011 that terrorism cannot be controlled. This was a surrender to terrorism. After the 26/11 attack, your government did not allow the army to take action. This is called surrender. In 1971, we had 93,000 soldiers. Even after that, PoK was surrendered in Indira ji's government... In 1948, Pandit Nehru surrendered to the United Nations and surrendered half of Kashmir and at the time of independence, one-third of the country was surrendered to Jinnah and the Muslim League...' "In such a time of crisis, no one should...": JD(U)'s KC Tyagi refutes Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Op Sindoor
New Delhi [India], May 24 (ANI): Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi on Saturday rebutted Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Operation Sindoor, saying that no one should make such 'objectionable statements' at the time of crisis. Speaking with ANI, Tyagi said, 'In such a time of crisis, no one should make such objectionable and unnecessary statements.' Earlier on Friday, criticising the BJP-led NDA government, Rahul Gandhi said India's foreign policy had 'collapsed.' In a post on X, Gandhi raised three questions to the central government. 'Will JJ explain why India has been hyphenated with Pakistan? Why didn't a single country back us in condemning Pakistan? Who asked Trump to 'mediate' between India & Pakistan?' the Lok Sabha LoP said. Reposting a video of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's interview with a media outlet, he said, 'India's foreign policy has collapsed.' Earlier, Gandhi questioned External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, accusing him of being silent about how many aircraft the Indian Air Force lost during Operation Sindoor and saying that the nation 'deserves the truth.' 'EAM Jaishankar's silence isn't just telling -- it's damning. So I'll ask again: How many Indian aircraft did we lose because Pakistan knew? This wasn't a lapse. It was a crime. And the nation deserves the truth,' Gandhi posted on X. Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians. The Indian Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. Further, KC Tyagi reacted to the NITI Aayog meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which focused on the vision of a developed India by 2047. 'The Prime Minister held a meeting on the concept of a developed India of 2047. Our Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also present,' the JD(U) leader said. Chaired by PM Modi, the 10th meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council will bring together Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of States and Union Territories, Union Ministers, and the Vice Chairman, Members and the CEO of NITI Aayog to deliberate on the roadmap for achieving 'Viksit Rajya, Viksit Bharat @2047' - a developed India by 2047. Jammu: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday visited Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district and met the victims of the cross-border shelling by Pakistani troops during recent hostilities between the two countries. The Poonch sector was witness to heightened artillery and mortar shelling after India carried out precise strikes under Operation Sindoor on nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7 in response to the deadly April 22 attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. This was Mr Gandhi's second visit to the Union territory since the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. #WATCH | J&K | Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi visits the civilian areas that were affected by cross-border shelling by Pakistan in Poonch — ANI (@ANI) May 24, 2025 During the visit, Mr Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, also interacted with school students. "Now, you have seen danger and a little bit of a frightening situation, but don't worry, everything will come back to normal. Your way of responding to this problem should be that you study and play really hard and make a lot of friends in school," he told them. #WATCH | J&K | Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi visits a school in Poonch and interacts with the students affected by Pakistan's cross-border shelling. "I spoke with the people and tried to understand their problems. They have requested me to raise this issue on the national level, and I will do that," Mr Gandhi said. Tensions between India and Pakistan have increased following the Pahalgam attack, which left 26 people dead. India, after finding cross-border links to the attack, launched "Operation Sindoor" on May 7 and struck terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Pakistan then launched a massive missile and drone attack, but the threats were thwarted. In retaliation, Indian forces struck airfields in Pakistan. A ceasefire on May 10 ended the hostilities.

"We must catch all other agents...": Defence expert on arrest of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra
Pune (Maharashtra) [India], May 19 (ANI): Following the arrest of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra for allegedly sharing sensitive information and being in continuous contact with a Pakistani citizen, Defence Expert Hemant Mahajan on Monday said that they must must catch all other agents that are operating for Pakistan and China in India. 'It is very good news... Pakistan needs agents to retrieve information about various internal matters, including our military leaders and our morale... The battle between agents and us will continue, and we have to ensure that all suspected people are under surveillance and their mobile/communication devices are spied upon... We must catch all other agents that are operating for Pakistan and China in India,' the defence expert told ANI. Jyoti Malhotra, a resident of Hisar, Haryana, was arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive information and being in continuous contact with a Pakistani citizen. Puri Superintendent of Police, Vinit Agrawal, said that they are in touch with the Haryana police over the matter. Jyoti Malhotra was interrogated for allegedly passing information to Pakistan. She allegedly met a Pakistani officer, Ahsan-ur-Rahim, in Delhi, travelled to Pakistan twice, and shared sensitive information. During the preliminary investigation, the woman told the police that she went to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi in 2023 to apply for a visa and met a man named Ahsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish. Haris Malhotra, father of the woman arrested by Haryana Police on charges of spying, has said that his daughter made YouTube videos and had visited Pakistan. He demanded the return of the phones taken by the police. The defence expert further reacted to Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's tweet asking how many aircraft we lost and said that they should not be out in the public domain if there is a loss of aircraft or weapons. 'No losses should be made public as it gives information to Pakistan that the anti-aircraft system they used was effective, and it will encourage them... If loss of weapon or aircraft should not be out in the public domain,' Hemant Mahajan said. Earlier today, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi again questioned External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, accusing him of being silent on how many aircraft the Indian Air Force lost during Operation Sindoor and said that the nation 'deserves the truth.'
