Fans react to Cooper DeJean honoring his high school with jacket before Super Bowl LIX
You can take someone out of Iowa, but you can't take the Iowa out of them. That goes for Cooper DeJean and his love for his home state. Ahead of Super Bowl LIX, the former Iowa Hawkeyes All-American paid honor to his high school with his clothing choices when arriving at the stadium.
Cooper DeJean grew up in Odebolt, Iowa, and attended OA-BCIG, which is a conglomerate school of the surrounding areas. While there he starred in football, basketball, baseball, and track before joining the Iowa Hawkeyes, where he became a household name for his elite play.
To honor his roots, Cooper DeJean wore his high school letterman jacket to the Super Bowl to let the entire world know where he is from and give his hometown and high school its moment in the shine.
Ahead of the big game, fans took to social media to show their appreciation to Cooper DeJean's jacket ahead of kickoff on what happens to also be his birthday.

When I turned 22 it was a Wednesday & I would have been attending class during my senior year of college, & probably not walking the grounds of my alma mater in my high school letterman's jacket. Then again, like everyone else, I'm no Cooper DeJean! Hope he makes a huge play!
