Drake Congratulates DDG For His New Album ‘Blame the Chat,' Trolls Adin Ross For Not Listening to It
Drake has given DDG his flowers for his new album Blame The Chat and clowned Adin Ross for having not listened to it. In DDG's latest Twitch stream on Monday (May 12), DDG and Adin Ross spent the day together, culminating in a video call with The Boy. 'Why are you saying you didn't stream man?' he exclaimed. 'You were literally just streaming. You've been streaming for four out of the last like seven days!' The compliments from Drake come after DDG said he thought his new album was gonna sell the equivalent of 500 units in its first week. The YouTube star turned rapper then confirmed that the album had only sold 1,230 units, before changing that number to 11,000. Regardless, the album did not chart the Billboard 200. The low numbers don't seem to be phasing DDG, who claimed last month his lifestyle is actually so extravagant he still lives paycheck to paycheck. 'I have to make money,' he said during a livestream. 'Bills are high. Did I tell you how much my bills is a month? N—a, my bills high as s—t. If I don't work, I'ma go broke ASAP… Like, I have to work. I don't have a choice. It ain't 'bout me trying to pocket some money. I have multiple homes, multiple cars. I have family. I have a child. I spend a lot of money.' Tory Lanez in ‘Good Spirits' After Being ‘Stabbed 14 Times' in Prison
Tory Lanez is recovering after being stabbed 14 times in prison on Monday morning (May 12), according to the statement shared on his Instagram. The positive update confirmed the singer, born Daystar Peterson, was 'in good spirits' following the attack. 'Tory was stabbed 14 times, including seven wounds to his back, four to his torso, two to the back of his head and one to the left side of his face,' the statement reads. 'Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing apparatus. He is now breathing on his own.' He also wants to thank everyone for the continued prayers and support.' Billboard has reached out to his attorney for comment. The Canadian artist was attacked by an inmate inside California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi around 7:20 a.m. PT, according to a spokesperson for the prison who talked with ABC News. 'Staff immediately responded, activated 911 and began medical aid. Peterson was subsequently transported to an outside medical facility for further treatment,' the spokesperson relayed. Crystal Morgan, Lanez's attorney, confirmed to ABC News that the singer remained hospitalized as of Monday night. Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence in prison after being convicted on three felony counts related to him shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet during a heated dispute outside a Hollywood Hills party in July 2020. According to prosecutors, Megan got out of a car during an argument with the singer and was walking away when Lanez shouted, 'Dance, bitch!' and shot her in the feet.
