Saudi Arabia showcases cultural heritage at London Craft Week 2025

LONDON — The Heritage Commission is participating in the London Crafts Week 2025, one of the world's most prominent cultural events dedicated to crafts and handicrafts. The event is scheduled to take place from May 13 to 18 in the British capital, London.
The Commission's participation in the event is part of its ongoing efforts to highlight Saudi cultural heritage and promote the sustainability of handicrafts.
This participation will present local crafts in a contemporary, literal form that combines the depth of heritage with a modern creative dimension, ensuring a visual and sensory experience for visitors that expresses Saudi cultural identity with a renewed vision.
It includes a distinctive craft, namely "Sadu" weaving, which will be displayed in modern designs that express inherited aesthetics on the one hand, and keep pace with global craft taste on the other, in celebration of "The Year of Handicrafts 2025."
The Heritage Commission aims to raise global awareness of the importance of Saudi handicrafts and highlight their cultural and economic value.
