Meet man who fought Mike Tyson, won 9 titles in boxing, now works as a bouncer with Ram Charan
Actor Ram Charan and his family are in London for the unveiling of his Madame Tussauds wax statue that will soon be on display in Singapore. He also took time out to hold a proper meet-and-greet with fans who couldn't meet him on the unveiling day. And one of his bouncers for the event happened to be former British heavyweight champion boxer, Julius Francis. (Also Read: Klin Kaara adorably runs to dad Ram Charan's Madame Tussauds wax statue even as mom Upasana asks her to wait. The pictures show Julius all smiles as Ram shakes hands with him and checks out his belt. Dressed in black, the 60-year-old ex-boxer seemed happy to be there. Julius' professional boxing career lasted from 1993 to 2006. In 2000, he even faced off against Mike Tyson and lost. Through his career, he won four British Heavyweight titles, five Commonwealth titles, and two challenges for the European title. He also fought four former or future World champions and owns a heralded Lonsdale Belt. After 23 wins, one draw, and 24 defeats in his boxing career, Julius participated in a mixed martial arts bout in 2007. In 2012, he dabbled in acting when he starred in the stage play Ring Envy in London. In 2022, Julius went viral when he knocked out a man cold for acting aggressively while working as security at Boxpark Wembley. Ram was last seen in Shankar's disappointing Sankranthi release Game Changer with Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah and Anjali as his co-stars. He is now shooting for Peddi with director Buchi Babu Sana and actors Janhvi Kapoor and Shiva Rajkumar.

Heaney vows to fight on after consecutive defeats
Former British middleweight champion Nathan Heaney has vowed to "carry on" fighting despite the pain of back-to-back defeats. Appearing on the undercard of Saturday's Derek Chisora v Otto Wallin bill at Manchester's Co-op Live arena, the 35-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent was stopped in the seventh round by Frenchman Sofiane Khati in a fight for the WBA Continental belt. That followed Heaney's final-round stoppage by Cornwall's Brad Pauls in Birmingham last July - his only two losses in 21 fights since turning professional in 2017. The loss to Pauls was a rematch after the pair had drawn in March to enable Heaney to retain his British title. But he has now not won since beating Denzel Bentley in Manchester in November 2023 to win the Lonsdale Belt. In the immediate wake of Saturday's defeat Heaney said he had considered his future in the ring, but he is now only looking forward. "I will carry on," he told Talksport. "I almost thought to myself is this it? Was that my own last dance without even knowing it?" Boxer recognised in city's sporting hall of fame Heaney said a conversation with George Warren, part of Frank Warren's management team, convinced him he has more to give. "George Warren phoned me on Sunday night and he told me that whatever happens they've got my back, which was a real weight off my shoulders," he said. "My dream to be a fighter is still there, so long as I can still look after myself. "My last two fights have been very tough. I got caught by a good shot on Saturday night. "But I've had 111 fights - 90 as an amateur and 21 as a pro, and I don't feel it." Heaney also says having almost 2,000 fellow Stoke City fans behind him in Manchester was a huge incentive to carry on fighting. "My supporters deserve it," he said. "The Stokies have allowed me to achieve my dreams. They've been amazing for me." Boxing schedule and results 2025 Watch every Born to Brawl episode Notifications, social media and more with BBC Sport
