Folk-rock duo, Indigo Girls, to perform in Johnstown
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — A folk-rock duo is making their way to Johnstown this June as part of their upcoming tour in celebration of their new album.
Indigo Girls, made up of a multi-Grammy-winning duo of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, will be stopping at the 1st Summit Arena on Saturday, June 21. The concert is part of the duo's tour in support of the album Look Long.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, March 21 at 10 a.m. on the 1st Summit Arena website. You can also get tickets on Ticketmaster.
The duo has had an over 35-year career and recorded over 16 studio albums, sold over 15 million records, and has made fans all over the world. A portion of the proceeds for their current album will go to the First Peoples Fund. The fund works to support the cultural, artistic and ancestral practices of indigenous people.
The show is being held in conjunction with Johnstown Pride events scheduled for June 21.
