Los Antojitos Mexican Restaurant gears up to re-open their doors

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – In July 2023 the famous Bay County Mexican restaurant Los Antojitos temporarily closed their doors to the public. Now they are gearing up to re-open their doors. The reason behind the unexpected shut down is said to be due to a severe lack of employees. 27th annual Spring Skim Jam draws record boarders and top talent In their Facebook post from 2023 the restaurant announced they would be conducting major upgrades, introducing a new menu, and constructing a new kitchen as well as interior. The president of Los Antojitos Ismael Barragan says the Mexican restaurant will be open within 2-3 weeks. They are currently putting the final touches on the re-launch. Road closures, parking announced for St. Andrews Mardi Gras Parade

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – The St. Andrews Mardi Gras Festival is back for another year of excitement. The Panama City Police Department has estimated the timing of the closures and public parking lots locals can utilize to enjoy the weekend-long event. Friday, February 21: Beck Avenue will be closed from Highway 98 south to 10th Street 11th Street will be closed from Beck Ave to Wilmont Ave These closures will last from about 3:30 p.m. to about 7 p.m. Saturday, February 22: Beck Avenue from Highway 98 to 10th Street will be closed 11th Street from Beck Avenue, east to Fortune Avenue, will be closed These closures will last from about 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. All weekend: Bayview Ave. from 12th St. to 10th St. will be completely shut off for the entire weekend. Only restaurant employees and vendors will have access to 12th Street at Bayview. The rest of the road on Bayview will be impassable. Additional partial closures may be needed for the setup and breakdown of equipment. The St. Andrews Marina Boat Launch will also be closed throughout this event. The City of Panama City encourages residents and visitors to utilize its public parking lots in downtown St. Andrews to enjoy this large festival. The lots are located at 13th St. between Beck Ave. and Chestnut Ave. and 1128 Chestnut Ave. Los Antojitos has also graciously opened its parking lot at 1236 Beck Ave for public use during this event.
