First image of Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis on field together

First image of Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis on field together Top 5 CB duo in the league. 🔒 — Carlos A. Lopez (@LosTalksPats) June 10, 2025 New England Patriots cornerbacks Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis III were captured in a picture together on the practice field at minicamp. The All-Pro corner and veteran Super Bowl champion combination will be one of the most formidable duos in any defensive backfield. Gonzalez is coming off a season where he recorded 59 tackles, 11 pass break-ups and two interceptions, while Davis had 54 tackles, 11 pass deflections and two interceptions. Together, they are a nightmare pairing who should give opposing offenses fits. For right now, they are making life hard for second-year quarterback Drake Maye and the Patriots offense on the practice field. The Patriots posted a clip of Gonzalez snagging a one-handed interception against Maye on their social media account. Gonzalez has looked like a future star in the NFL, and now, he is being paired with one of the more reliable defensive backs in the league. That goes without mentioning all of the improvements along the defensive front. The Patriots' defense has improved at every level, and now, they have a real opportunity to make some serious noise in 2025. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Super Bowl hero reveals Patriots rookie RB studying his old game film

Super Bowl hero reveals Patriots rookie RB studying his old game film The #Patriots are having rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson study James White's film. 'I got word from a little birdie that they tapped in to that [film] right now. They tapped into some of that tape right now… you know they gon' get right.' Henderson 📈 (🎥 @Themoneydownpod) — Carlos A. Lopez (@LosTalksPats) May 20, 2025 New England Patriots legend James White teased that rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson is studying some of his old game footage in preparation for the 2025 season. Henderson, a second-round draft pick, is expected to have a significant role in the offensive game plans for the team. Like White, he's a triple-threat option out of the offensive backfield with the ability to run, receive and pass protect. He recorded 3,761 rushing yards and 853 receiving yards over a four-year career at Ohio State. He's the next generation of running backs for the Patriots who could learn a thing or two from an All-Dynasty player and three-time Super Bowl champion in White. "I got word from a little birdie that they tapped into that [film] right now," White responded on The Money Down Podcast, when it was suggested that Henderson watched some of his old game footage. "They tapped into some of that tape right now. ...They gon' get right man." The Patriots had hopes that Antonio Gibson could help fill the role that White had with the Patriots for eight years. Perhaps that'll still be the case with Gibson returning for a second season. The team also added undrafted rookie Lan Larison to the mix of a unit spearheaded by Rhamondre Stevenson. Henderson is a home run option with the ball in his hands, but he is also capable of filling the third-down role left by White. He's a rare and versatile talent who should hit the ground running in his first season. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Patriots rookie Will Campbell's mindset will send shivers down your spine

Patriots rookie Will Campbell's mindset will send shivers down your spine #Patriots LT Will Campbell: 'You have to love violence to be able to play on the offense and defensive line… It's a dog eat dog world. Whenever you're going out there, it's either you or him, and I want it to be me every time.' Love it. (🎥 Forged in Foxborough) — Carlos A. Lopez (@LosTalksPats) May 17, 2025 New England Patriots rookie offensive tackle Will Campbell has one goal in mind when he steps onto the field for the first time in the NFL. He wants to play with violence and win every rep. The first-round prospect out of LSU will be tasked with protecting Patriots quarterback Drake Maye's blindside. In a sense, the franchise will be in Campbell's hands. There will be no success on offense if Campbell and company fail to keep Maye upright. That's a challenge Campbell proudly accepts in his first NFL season. When appearing on Episode 1 of "Forged in Foxborough", he called the game of football a "dog-eat-dog world". 'You have to love violence to be able to play on the offense and defensive line, and that's what I like," said Campbell. "It's a dog-eat-dog world, whenever you're going out there, it's either you or him. And I want it to be me every time.' Campbell oozes with confidence, and that's something that should endear him to Patriots' fans. He has the talent to develop into a foundational piece for the team over the next decade, and it's clear he isn't wasting time in accepting that challenge. The Patriots desperately needed a guy at left tackle. They now have a guy. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.
